They have stated before that even at 1.2 mill, this was supposed to be a very aggressive plan. Nintendo has completely underestimated the demand and now people are scrambling for the Wii.

They are having an amazing year, but the big problem now is that Nintendo Wii is potentially losing a lot of business because people will end up buying the Microsoft XBOX 360 and the Sony Playstation 3. The problem isn't really with the console itself, but it is with the games. The money is made from game sales and Nintendo will also lose out of those.

Nintendo has now increased the production to 1.8 million and trying desparately to meet demand. It is most likely that people will need to wait almost 3 months after Christmas to get their Wii.

Americans are seeing the prices climb from just $300 plus shipping to over $350 plus shipping on eBay. This happened over the last week. That's almost a 20 percent jump! Nintendo. Amazon has had the Nintendo Wii for sale a couple of times and each time they sell out in literally minutes.

Americans are not alone because the Brits have it even worse. The eBay prices are now ranging above $650 US dollars. You can't find the Nintendo Wii anywhere.

The ironic thing is the Nintendo Wii is still available in Germany and other european countries. Maybe they are not into the Wii as much as others. It is still possible for people in the UK to buy from there and have it shipped.

Now this is a big killer because all the bad publicity they've been getting can't convert into sales if they aren't even stocked by stores. However, it may still be a rumor.

Manhunt 2 has been slaughtered by the media (no pun intended). You've got Dr. Phil, Katie Couric and a million other tv personalities going against it saying it causes kids to become violent and such. We don't believe that's true, but what can you do.

It turns out that Wii players are the fun guys who are not like the hardcore gamers who sit in front of a tv until their eyes bleed. Well that's positive I guess. However, they added that Wii owners are selfish about their passion and also good with money. Selfish is usually negative but passion is good so I guess it's a good thing overall.

The cheapskate means very little. Just because it only costs $250 means we are good with money!

It turns out that Nintendo consoles usually last about 5 years each before they are phased out. Iwata, Nintendo's president, commented saying that they will only release a new console if they can substantially great a better gaming environment for people. This means Nintendo Wii 2 won't come up if it just as better graphics.

Nintendo Wii's biggest drawback is the graphics. Competitors like XBOX 360 and PS3 are able to display HD graphics while Wii is still lagging behind in 480p. Iwata mentioned that the Nintendo Wii could last much longer than 5 years because of the new features in the WIi.

However, Sony and Microsoft could easily implement the features the Wii has for the next generation console. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens in the future.

They brought in $318 million in Q2. Now Q3 will be pushed to insane levels thanks to Guitar Hero III.

People are expecting Activision to beat the $1 billion level in revenue. This is because it is doing crazily well in the US where it sold $115m. It is actualy just as hard to find Guitar Hero III as it is to find the console itself.!

Keep in mind that Guitar Hero III is for all the consoles, so there is good reason why there is crazy sales. Europe and Australia wil be getting their copies soon so expect even more sales.

It turns out some Indian family won the show. The Chouhan family from Leicaster walked away with 20,000 pounds to use for their children's education.

The family consisted of Karen who was the mother (50) and her daughter Chhaya (17) and son Amar (10). They scored the highest and took the prize. I think it's great that brain games are getting so much publicity in the UK. Maybe we need some of that happening in the good ole USA?
